Atlanta CARES is committed to fostering equitable access to STEM education. We proudly initiated our STEM Campaign in 2010 to increase the number of underrepresented groups in the STEM pipeline. This transformative initiative is designed to empower middle and high school students with immersive hands-on STEM experiences, enabling them to delve into the dynamic realms of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Through our meticulously curated curriculum, students not only engage in stimulating hands on activities but also embark on a journey to explore diverse STEM career pathways and directly interact with STEM professionals.

Over 200 middle and high school students become immersed in the exhilarating world of STEM at our annual STEMfest Youth Conference, at the prestigious Georgia Tech campus for a dynamic exploration of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This flagship event serves as a beacon of inspiration, igniting passion and curiosity in the hearts of tomorrow’s innovators.
Throughout the conference, participants are treated to a plethora of captivating workshops and networking opportunities designed to stimulate their minds and fuel their aspirations. With a diverse array of workshops to choose from, attendees are empowered to tailor their experience by selecting three sessions that align with their interests and aspirations. From hands-on experiments to insightful discussions led by STEM professionals, every workshop promises an engaging journey into the boundless realms of STEM.

The STEM EnRICH Summer Academy is an integral component of the Atlanta CARES STEM Campaign. This transformative four-week camp invites rising 7th through 12th-grade students to embark on an immersive journey of discovery and empowerment.
At our STEM EnRICH Summer Academy, we believe in fostering holistic development by blending rigorous academics with enriching experiences. Our carefully crafted curriculum offers a dynamic fusion of fun, creativity, and hands-on exploration. Through inquiry-based learning, students are not merely recipients of knowledge but active participants in their educational journey, honing essential 21st-century skills essential for future success.
As part of our commitment to providing a comprehensive learning experience, students indulge in a myriad of enrichment activities, from team-building exercises to leadership workshops, cultivating essential life skills beyond the classroom. Moreover, weekly excursions to local STEM-related museums and corporate establishments enrich their understanding of real-world applications, fostering a deep-seated appreciation for the boundless possibilities within the STEM landscape.
