Ciarra Nelson is a public health informatics consultant, real estate investor, and community leader whose work bridges technology, data, and equity. Drawing on her background in chemistry and chemical engineering, she has built a career advancing data-driven solutions in public health systems at the local, state, and national levels.
Ciarra currently supports public health initiatives with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), guiding the implementation and integration of immunization data systems across multiple jurisdictions. She also serves with the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services, where she has played a key role in onboarding healthcare providers, improving immunization data quality, and collaborating with agencies to develop national interoperability standards.
Beyond her technical work, Ciarra is deeply committed to mentorship, community development, and generational growth. An inaugural alumna of the HBCU Rising program launched at Clark Atlanta University, she has returned to help design initiatives that strengthen professional development, expand literacy engagement, and empower students across the Atlanta University Center. She continues her service through the Atlanta CARES Mentoring Movement, advancing programs that promote equity, leadership, and lifelong learning.
As a proud Clark Atlanta University alumna and active real estate investor throughout Atlanta neighborhoods, Ciarra also channels her passion for transformation into creating safe and welcoming spaces that strengthen communities and build lasting opportunities. She brings to the board a passion for innovation, collaboration, and community impact grounded in service and excellence, and a steadfast belief in the power of mentorship to change lives.
